"I'm the first to admit I was reluctant to attend my first IAMC meeting.
That was 12 years ago, and I haven't missed one since. Today, I can
honestly say that IAMC has been one of the key factors to our companies
growth. Not only has it added profits to our bottom line, it has educated
our people, and on a personal level, we've established strong working
relationships and developed life long friendships in the process.
My customers are also interested to see that we are members of such
a professional organization, too. We believe in IAMC!" -Colin
Walsh, Coin-Cafe',Inc.
Every year, IAMC is working to create a more productive and profitable
Vending Industry in Illinois. Since it's inception in 1966, IAMC has
added millions of dollars to the bottom line of vending Operators.
This has been achieved not only in proactive legislative efforts,
but also in fighting off potentially damaging legislation, taxes and
licensing saving Illinois Operators even more. We have forged fair
and strong relationships with Illinois legislators so that our voices
can be heard in Springfield. Legislators who understand our Industry
and small business alike are taking the time to listen to IAMC in
the event our livelihoods are being threatened. Networking with suppliers,
understanding Industry trends, and educational seminars are also ways
that IAMC helps to improve your bottom line.
As an IAMC member, you will be kept informed about the Vending Industry
in Illinois. Every IAMC Member gains access to the quarterly Board
Meetings, Educational Seminars, Golf Outings and all other IAMC related
functions like the Annual Springfield Cocktail Party. Members also
receive the IAMC newsletter, "The Update", IAMC Membership Directory,
and their companies employees are eligible for the Peter F. Perricone
College Scholarship. IAMC members are immediately made aware of any
late breaking Industry news or Vending Company burglaries through
the IAMC Hotline and IAMC Faxline. Also, many IAMC suppliers run special
promotions exclusively for IAMC members.
IAMC members are constantly offered educational seminars through our
many committees. Some ongoing topics include the latest equipment
and technology available, using the new currencies in your business,
developing a profit and loss statement for your accounts, how to gain
positive public relations for your company and the Industry, developing
a relationship with your local legislators, buying and selling vending
companies, and of course the future of the Vending Industry. In addition,
Security seminars are held to help members learn about safety and
security issues in their business such as building and truck alarm
systems, accountability on the routes and hiring and training employees.
